Our Mission

The Tax Council’s mission is to provide leadership in the tax and fiscal policy arenas, to contribute to a better understanding of complex tax laws and regulations through informational forums and to advocate sound tax and fiscal policies that encourage capital formation and preservation in order to enlarge productive investment and generate national economic growth.

Membership

Why join The Tax Council?

The Tax Council produces some of the best premiere tax programs available today because the programs are conceived, developed and presented by some of the country’s leading corporate tax professionals. Although we represent a wide variety of companies involved in banking, electronics, energy, insurance, manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation, and utilities, our Board of Directors has deliberately kept the organization relatively small to give individual members a greater voice in the organization.

What are the benefits?

The Tax Council’s events provide excellent opportunities for you and your representatives to network and build stronger working relationships with government officials and colleagues in other businesses. With major restructuring going on in many companies, our networking benefits are especially valuable.

Recent TTC events have featured key tax policy makers, including:  former Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI); Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden (D-OR); Ranking Member Senator Crapo (R-ID); Ways & Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-MA) and Ranking Member Kevin Brady (R-TX); Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold; former Treasury officials Mark Mazur, Bob Stack and Danielle Rolfes; and, OECD CTPA’s Director Pascal Saint-Amans and Deputy Director Grace Perez-Navarro.

What is the cost?

We offer TWO membership dues options*:

  • enhanced dues for $5,600 — this option includes the 2023 dues plus the registration fees of ALL events (7 luncheons, the Spring Conference in March, and the Annual Meeting) for one person in your organization
  • regular dues for $3,600 — this option does NOT include registration fees for our events.

As a member, you and your colleagues:  will receive our exclusive, members-only daily newsletters that contain links to tax policy/issues articles of current interest and our monthly newsletters that provide recaps of the organization’s monthly activities; are invited to sit on TTC’s policy committee; and, may attend our monthly legislative luncheon series, the March Spring Tax Conference in Florida, the Annual Meeting in the fall in DC, and other timely programs.

*either option includes a one-time membership application fee of $100
